About the Role:
A high-performing public charter school in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an innovative Middle School Technology Teacher for the 2025 school year. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about technology, digital literacy, and STEM education. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, hands-on learning environment that encourages students to develop critical 21st-century skills in coding, robotics, digital citizenship, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
βοΈ Design and implement rigorous, standards-aligned technology lessons that promote problem-solving, computational thinking, and creativity.
βοΈ Introduce students to coding, robotics, digital media, and emerging technologies.
βοΈ Foster a collaborative and innovative classroom environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and learn.
βοΈ Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
βοΈ Use data-driven instruction to monitor student progress and refine teaching strategies.
βοΈ Teach students about cybersecurity, digital citizenship, and responsible technology use.
βοΈ Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to enhance curriculum and instructional best practices.
βοΈ Engage in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
π Education: Bachelorβs degree in Technology Education, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Masterβs preferred).

Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a middle school setting.
Skills & Qualifications:

Passion for STEM education and integrating technology into the classroom.
β
Strong belief in the schoolβs mission and commitment to educational equity.
β
Effective classroom management skills to create a structured yet engaging learning space.
β
Experience with coding languages (Python, Scratch, JavaScript, etc.), robotics, and digital tools.
β
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional qualifications include:
βοΈ A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelorβs degree in education or a related subject.
