About the Role:
This is an innovative, student-centered Expeditionary Learning charter school in Framingham, MA, is seeking a passionate Middle School Science Teacher for the 2025 school year. This role is ideal for an educator who values hands-on, inquiry-based learning and is committed to inspiring students to think critically, explore scientific concepts, and engage in real-world problem-solving. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative, engaging, and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and scientific discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement interactive, standards-aligned science lessons that promote inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving.
Teach core middle school science topics, including life science, earth science, and physical science.
Design and facilitate hands-on labs and fieldwork experiences that connect science to real-world applications.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, exploration, and collaboration.
Utilize data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Work with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects aligned with the school’s Expeditionary Learning model.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and engagement.
Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the middle school level.
Skills:
Strong content knowledge in middle school science disciplines.
Experience with hands-on, inquiry-based, and project-based learning.
Ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
Passion for fostering curiosity and scientific thinking in students.

Additional qualifications include:
A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in education or a related subject.
Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary or secondary schools.
At least two years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent qualifications.
