A forward-thinking and globally focused school in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a passionate Middle School Reading Teacher for the 2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literacy development, fostering a love for reading, and equipping students with critical comprehension and analytical skills. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who values innovation, differentiated instruction, and culturally responsive teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned reading and literacy lessons for middle school students.

  • Foster a love of reading by incorporating diverse texts, including fiction, nonfiction, and multicultural literature.

  • Teach students critical reading strategies, vocabulary development, and comprehension skills.

  • Differentiate instruction to support struggling readers, English language learners, and advanced students.

  • Utilize assessments and data to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

  • Integrate technology and project-based learning to enhance literacy instruction.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student growth and engagement.

  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Literacy, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in reading or language arts.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of literacy development and best practices in reading instruction.

    • Experience with differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

    • Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques.

    • Passion for fostering a culture of reading and critical thinking.

Additional qualifications include:

  • A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in education or a related subject.

  • Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary or secondary schools.

  • At least two years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent qualifications.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Strong character and professional reputation.
