About the Role:
A high-performing public charter school, part of a nationally recognized network, is seeking a passionate Middle School Math Teacher for the 2025 school year. This role is ideal for an educator dedicated to building strong mathematical foundations, fostering problem-solving skills, and maintaining high academic expectations for all learners.
Fluency in Spanish is required, as the ideal candidate will support Spanish-speaking students in mastering mathematical concepts while developing their English proficiency. The teacher will create a structured, engaging, and rigorous learning environment that ensures student success in math.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement rigorous, standards-aligned math lessons that build students' proficiency in problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning.
Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages student engagement with mathematics.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including English language learners and advanced math students.
Use data-driven instruction to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Integrate technology, real-world applications, and hands-on activities to enhance math instruction.
Provide language support for Spanish-speaking students to help them acquire English proficiency while excelling in math.
Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic and social-emotional growth.
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to refine curriculum and instructional practices.
Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a middle school math classroom.
Language:Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong belief in the school's mission and a commitment to educational equity.
Effective classroom management skills and the ability to foster a structured yet engaging learning environment.
Experience implementing differentiated instructional strategies to support diverse learners, including English language learners.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Qualifications Include:
A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related subject.
Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary or secondary schools.
At least two years of full-time teaching experience.
Fluency in Spanish and English.
Strong character and professional reputation.
Visa Sponsorship:
The school expects teachers to cover the cost of the first-year visa. Any future visa renewal fees will be covered by the school. However the school will pay for the cost of your return flights.
