About the Role:
This is an innovative, student-centered Expeditionary Learning charter school in Framingham, MA, is seeking a passionate Middle School Math Teacher for the 2025 school year. This role is ideal for an educator who believes in active, inquiry-based learning and is committed to helping students develop mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative, engaging, and supportive learning environment that encourages students to explore math in real-world contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned math lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding.
Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, perseverance, and critical thinking.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and ensure all students reach their potential.
Utilize data to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Integrate real-world applications and project-based learning into the math curriculum.
Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and Expeditionary Learning experiences.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student success.
Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the middle school level.
Skills:
Strong content knowledge in middle school mathematics, including pre-algebra and algebra.
Experience with project-based and inquiry-based learning approaches.
Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning needs.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Passion for fostering mathematical curiosity and confidence in students.

Additional qualifications include:
A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in education or a related subject.
Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary or secondary schools.
At least two years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent qualifications.
